Recently the ITTF president Mr.Adham Sharara made a visit to a North American table tennis forum. It is very unusual for a president of an organization to visit a forum and chat with its members. The furious members raised questions on the seriousness of the ban of speed glue, booster and frictionless pips. Some doubted his authenticity – later the forum owner published a letter from Me.Adham confirming that was him. The ITTF published a communication letter on its site stating Adham has visited the site.
The new list of approved table tennis rubbers has been published. The list is missing a set of long pips rubbers from the manufacturer TTMaster. The furious players who are using these rubbers are expressing their frustration on table tennis forums everywhere. They have bought these rubbers paying huge sum. Now the money is lost as well as they can’t use it. The TTMaster manufacture is in a limbo also. They fired back at ITTF. They have published a serious of email correspondence between them and ITTF equipment advisor Mr.Odd Gustavsen.
In the letter to TTMaster, Mr.Odd Gustavsen has mentioned about a correspondence he had with a player. The player has raised questions of the friction level of the long pips from TTMaster. The series of communications lead to ITTF doing the friction test on TTMaster long pips and had to reject them because of its lack of friction.
