For the last two years I have been using Tensor rubbers. I have used Tensor rubbers from different brands such as XIOM, JOOLA etc… Here are some important facts about Tensor rubbers that I have found out.
#1 All Tensor rubbers from different manufactures are the same.
False. The Tensor rubbers are manufactured based on specifications from the Manufacturers. The manufactures also apply their proven technology to work with Tensor technology.
#2 Butterfly Tenergy is a Tensor rubber.
False. The Tensor technology is developed in Germany. Butterfly brand does not use it. Butterfly Tenergy uses spring sponge technology.
#3 Tensor rubber is a tuned rubber.
They are not. The Tensor rubbers use its own energy saving technology. The tuned rubbers use stimulants after a rubber has been assembled.
#4 Tensor rubbers shrink
The initial versions of Tensor had problems. The 2007 version does not have this problem. You should use water based glues while assembling the paddle.
#5 Tensor rubbers create dome like tuned rubbers
They don’t. It will if you have used non-water based glue on it.
#6 Tensor rubbers crack or break fast
False. You have to use only water based glue on these rubbers. Any VOC filled glue used on this rubber can cause cracks and breaks.
#7 The Tensor rubbers will not perform like Tuned rubbers
The player has control over how many layers of boosters can be put on a rubber while he is tuning it. That is not possible with Tensors. They will perform better than a Tuned rubber. However you have to find the right version from the manufactures catalogue to suit the speed and spin you require.
#8 The Tensor rubbers will not last like manually Tuned rubbers.
No. The Tensor rubbers have more lifespan than manually tuned rubbers. The manually tuned rubbers can last for 30 hours while a Tensor can last for 45 hours.
