In three years of my serious play attending tournaments, the 2009 US Nationals was not my best but I had great fun. I won only one match out of 12 matches I have played. That is darn bad. But as I have said, the money I paid really worth it. Here is my record:

I have participated in Men’s Singles preliminary, and many high rated events. I had the satisfaction I was able to score an average of 5 points in each game.
This was an experimentation. Foremost, how successfully I could defend the high rated players. Next, how can I keep myself going playing too many matches in tournaments?
Te results? The moderan defense has not died. It has high potential at the the highest level. The highest rated players struggle against defenders. Their win is primarily by exploiting the topspin.
In the first day itself I have played 4 events. I did not have strength to go on. This is the weakness I have. Now I have to do something to save energy and keep playing.
The TTMaster long pips Punto, Fireproof and Selection can stop an express train - I’m talking about heavy top spin drives and loops from high rated events. In today’s test I have found Fireproof II throws the ball little longer on a short soft block. The Selection is better than Fireproof II - the ball jumps little higher on soft block. The bounced ball drops in energy fast so can throw the timing of loopers out. The TTMaster Punto is excellent for soft block. I was not that satisfied by the bounced angle. The TTMaster Selection shines well in that area.
I will be doing more experimentation in the days to come to find the right one between TTMaster Selection and TTMaster Punto.
