TTMaster makes two defensive blades named Sensitive Defense and Evolution Defense. I have tried both of them. These blades are simple and elegant, close to craftsmanship with Darker blades. They are not really modern defensive blades although they are made of balsa and are faster. They are defensive for close to the table game.
The handle of the TTMaster blades are made of hinoki. They are thick and can sand to the level you want. The Evolution Defensive blade is a semi-wide blade, the facial size is same as a Butterfly Innershield ZLC. The Sensitive is a smaller blade, the facial size is equivalent to a regular blade. Both these blades have two layers of fabric. They are not carbon. I have seen this kind of material seen only in Joola Chen Weixing blade.
Speed:
The Evolution or Sensitive are faster blades. When I say faster, it is up to you to increase the ball speed. You can’t play away from the table with these blades. The Evolution is faster than Sensitive. They are both little faster against high speed blades. The Butterfly Innershield ZLC DEF blades can slow down faster balls than TT Master blades.
Feel:
These blades have excellent feel. I have played with TTMaster Punto, Dr.Neubauer Figher, Armstrong Twister in no-sponge version. I could really feel the ball touch. It has vibration too, that makes the feeling good for some players.
I recommend TTMaster Sensitive for passive defensive blades who play very close to the table and takes the ball early. They hit rather than loop. That’s where the TTMaster Evolution helps a defensive player. I don’t recommend using heavy rubbers like Butterfly Tenergy on these blades. The blades can’t handle heavy rubbers, as well as it can reduce the feeling.
