Can the table tennis game affect families? Yes. Positively as well as negatively. I have heard husbands saying they don’t want their wives to know what equipments they are buying. I have heard boys saying they don’t want their parents know what they are buying. The bills pile up. You finally find out that you have spend a fortune on table tennis equipments.

I’m going to give you some tips on cutting down your expenses, at the same time your passion continue.

What you require foremost is a budget and planning. Add equipment buying as an expense to your financial planning. The proper planning gives you an idea of how much you can spend in an year for equipments. Don’t overspend the budget as it will impact to your family and personal life.

You have a budget. But still you can overspend. Every year the table tennis brands release new products to the markets. They are in hundreds and you may want to try them. You need money for that. Trading in your old equipments for new ones is your solution to make that extra money to achieve that.

What do you mean by trading in your old equipments to get new ones? Just like cars in the market, the table tennis equipments lose its value. But it is not bad as you think. You can get up to 50% of it’s original value even after you have used for a while. No stores in the market will take your old equipment and give you a new one in it’s place. You have to sell your old equipment, get some money out of it and buy the new one.

Where do you sell your old equipments? On eBay? Not really. There are table tennis forums where there is a section for sales. The table tennis enthusiasts in that forum know each other. They are someone like you who wants to try out equipments. You contact the people who show interest in your used equipments. You can contact them through the same forum. You can ask the buyer to send you the money. After you receive the money, you ship the product to the buyer. This has worked for a lot of people.

In forums, it is hard to judge someone can be trusted or not. You should have lived in that place for a while to know people. Internet online auction sites like eBay have ratings for it’s sellers and buyers. That rating raises your confidence to do business.

TableTennisMarket.com is such a good place to do trading. TableTennisMarket is not an auction site, but there is no fee. The members in that site are doing transactions and is in existence from 2009. Try it out! That’s where you may be making your extra money.

When I check on used Stiga Paddles on eBay in the completed listings, there were a majority of the listings that sold successfully (4 out of 7). Part of selling successfully on eBay is doing good research. Table Tennis Market looks like a good place to go shopping too.
