Tibhar Sinus
Tibhar Sinus is made in Germany. This is a hard rubber compared to Tibhar Sinus Sound which is a softer one. When I wanted to try this rubber, I expected this similar to XIOM Omega III Asian. It is not so. The Tibhar Sinus topsheet is harder than Omega III’s top sheet. The sponge is very much similar.
The XIOM Omega III Asian is faster and spinny than Tibhar Sinus. However someone who wants more control, the sinus is a choice. Someone who plays close to the table, Tibhar Sinus gives a lot of control.
I have tried Tibhar Sinus on Dr.Neubauer Firewall Plus and Butterfly InnerForce DEF. On both blades, the Tibhar Sinus showed it’s excellent ability to block. Even a heavy high top spin ball I was able to block without much fluttering. I could hit back some heavy top spin balls. This is impossible even with Butterfly Tenergy rubbers.
On my backhand I had Armstrong Twister DEF rubber. I don’t know I liked this combination much. I have written about the impact of forehand rubbers on the backhand side.
The life is short for these German rubbers. The Tibhar Sinus needs to be taken care of well. The topsheet needs to be protected with protective sheet.
