I have been watching some table tennis team events on NBCOlympics.com. My initial impression is that most of all the top players are under severe pressure.
Ryu Seung Min lost to Thiago monteiro of Brazil. Timo Boll had to win only by 3-2 against Pradeeban Peter-Paul. Wang Liqin narrowly escaped from William Henzell of Australia.

The US Women table tennis team is not that bad

I had watched some women’s table tennis today. The US team consists of Gao Jun, Wang Chen and Crystal Huang. They all played well against the Romanian team. The Romanian players have more experience travelling to many tournaments which the US team does not get much.
